Wine Tasting Weekend – Taste and Scent of Italy

A trip to Italy – without leaving the shores of Lake Mälaren. A weekend that suits both the wine enthusiast and the connoisseur. Observe that the wine tasting will be in Swedish so you need to understand Swedish.

Imagine the scent of sun-warmed vineyards, ripe grapes and spicy herbs. During our Wine Tasting Weekend, your taste buds and scent sensors are transported to Italy – to the rolling hills of Tuscany, elegant wines from Piedmont and fresh tones from Veneto – while you enjoy the peaceful environment by Lake Mälaren. Here, Italian passion and Swedish castle romance meet in a weekend filled with taste, knowledge and enjoyment.

An inspiring wine tasting with antipasti
The highlight of the weekend is a wine tasting led by sommelier Lotta Junger, who will let you discover Italy’s rich wine tradition. You and your party will get to try selected wines with different characters – from fruity and soft to powerful and structured.

You will learn about grape varieties, regions and how climate and soil affect the taste in the glass. Maybe you will find a new favorite? A plate of Italian antipasti is served with the wines.

Three-course dinner with Italian notes
The evening continues with a tasty three-course dinner where the cuisine is inspired by the warmth and generosity of Italian cuisine. There will be a primi pitatti, a secondi piatti and a dolci served by candlelight and an atmosphere that invites you to stay a little longer – just like in Italy.

Wake up to silence and breakfast
After an evening filled with aromas and flavors, a good night's sleep awaits in our personally decorated hotel rooms. The next morning, a generous breakfast buffet is served, where you can sum up your impressions and plan your next wine experience.

The package includes the following:

– Tasting of Italian wines and matching antipasti together with a sommelier at 3:30 p.m. (typically lasts takes 60-80 minutes). Limited number of spots.
– Three-course dinner (primi pitatti, secondi piatti and dolci) inspired by Italy starts at 5:30 PM while royalty and nobility look down from the original paintings on the castle walls.
– One night in the selected room category.
– Breakfast buffet at the castle.

All meals are served at the castle while overnight stays are in various side buildings. There are no hotel rooms in the castle building.
Check-in from 3:00 PM and check-out no later than 11:00 AM.
