At Sundbyholm Castle, we celebrate New Year's Eve with a sparkling New Year's package that includes delicious food and drinks, dancing to our New Year’s band, the castle lady's New Year's speech in rhyme, a champagne toast, and a dazzling fireworks display. For those who want to arrive the day before, we offer a lovely soft start with a tasting of five different champagnes and sparkling wines, accompanied by suitable snacks, alongside sommelier Lotta Junger, before you sit down at tables adorned with white tablecloths and lit candles in the castle's cozy dining rooms where royalty looks down from the walls. You are warmly welcomed to ring in the New Year with us!

New Year's Package (two nights) includes the following:

December 30:

• 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM: Tasting of the sommelier's selection of champagnes and sparkling wines (a total of 5 different ones) under the guidance of the experienced (and humorous) sommelier Lotta Junger. Suitable snacks will be served to bring out different nuances in the wines. 
  Before and after dinner, those who wish can also visit the castle's cozy bar.
• Three-course served dinner at tables with white tablecloths and lit candles. Start time is chosen at the time of booking.
• Overnight stay in the chosen hotel room category.
• For those arriving late in the evening, we offer the option to book accommodation with breakfast for the first night. We also offer packages with dinner without the champagne tasting, though we highly recommend participating in this incredibly enjoyable sparkling wine tasting, where the atmosphere is always superb.

December 31 (New Year's Eve):

• Breakfast at the castle from 8:00 AM. Start time will be provided at check-in.
• The castle's grand Afternoon tea from 1:00 PM. Start time is chosen at the time of booking.
  You are then welcome to visit the castle's cozy bar.
• The castle's New Year's buffet (meat, fish, seafood) from 6:30 PM. Start time is chosen at the time of booking.
• Two different desserts at the buffet.
• Three glasses of the evening's selected wines (white/red/dessert wine).
  It is possible to substitute the wine for beer/cider/soda for those who wish.
• Coffee and chocolate pralines after dinner.
• Dancing in Riddarsalen to our wonderful New Year’s band (Jag & Du) starts around 10 PM.
• The castle lady's New Year's speech in rhyme in Riddarsalen shortly after 11:30 PM.
• A glass of champagne can be picked up between 11:40 PM and 11:55 PM in Nedre Jakthallen.
• Fireworks over the castle park at midnight.
• Dancing continues for those who wish from 12:20 AM to 1:20 AM in Riddarsalen.
• A late-night snack of hot dogs around 12:30 AM - 1:00 AM.
  We say goodnight at 1:30 AM.
• Overnight stay in the chosen hotel room category.

January 1 (New Year's Day):

• Breakfast at the castle from 9:00 AM. Start time will be provided at check-in.

The entire castle is used for all meals and dancing during the New Year's celebration. Accommodation takes place outside the castle, in one of our hotel buildings or in a chalet.

Check-in to the rooms from 3:00 PM (earlier if they are ready) and check-out no later than 12:00 PM on New Year's Day.
