Västanå Castle is situated on a hill overlooking Lake Vättern. Part of our lands is a nature preserve of approx. 200 acres, the nature preserve is listed on UNESCO's world heritage list. A number of hiking trails cut through these lands and leads towards Jönköping and the late painter John Bauer's lakes Bunn and Ören. We call these natural areas and hiking trails our "best kept secret".

We equip you with a backpack contenting picnic snacks to cope with a couple of hours in the nature.
