Inside the house there are conference rooms, hotel rooms, suites and relaxation areas with saunas and jacuzzis. The rooms are decorated in Art Nouveau style. The area is located in the middle of Vadstena with close proximity to shopping on the picturesque main street, swimming in the Vättern and Vadstena Castle. Slottsflygeln, Lilla Slottsvillan and Slottsstugan are in the same area. Parking is available next to Stora Slottsvillan. There are 6 double rooms with shower and toilet and 1 suite with bubble bath and balcony with a view of the castle and minibar. All rooms have a telephone, TV, hairdryer and kettle and there is a separate ironing room on the ground floor. The building does not have an elevator. There are 2 social rooms that are also used as conference rooms. This building is about a 7 minute walk from reception. Check-in takes place at the Monk Monastery. History of Stora Slottsvillan was built as an official residence for the chief physician in connection with the opening of the hospital. In the 1980s, the house was used as a preschool. After that, Stora Slottsvillan became part of Vadstena Klosterhotel and the villa was carefully restored back to the Art Nouveau style. Tile stoves and other details were brought out again.
